I can’t really say whether I’ve had sex with an American, I used to get pretty drunk sometimes in my passion hunting persona trousers. I could have, you understand, it might just have been that we didn’t talk much, some things go unsaid in the throws of horizontal folk dancing, mullet straining, person to person, generous, athletic or even lazy love making. I mean sometimes I’d even forget that I’d had sex with someone and when presented to them at a completely different and somewhat sober event, I would regularly ask … haven’t you and I had sex ?? – that was a great ice breaker as well and I have to admit sometimes this drivel ended up being prophetic or even taken as an invitation, goodness if I wasn’t such a strident atheist I’d be sure to be heading to hell. The reason for this more personal than usual outburst, is the release of a new survey, “Sexual behaviour in the United States” conducted by the Centre for Sexual Health Promotion.
Quote … Our Centre is a collaborative of sexual health scholars from across the campuses of Indiana University and strategic partner academic institutions around the globe who, in partnership with practitioners from community-based health organizations, government and industry, work toward advancing the field of sexual health through our research, education and training initiatives.
Herbenick, D., Reece, M., Sanders, S.A., Schick, V., Dodge, B., & Fortenberry, J.D. (2010). Sexual behavior in the United States: Results from a national probability sample of males and females ages 14 to 94. Journal of Sexual Medicine, 7 (suppl 5), 255-265. ( this is like being back at uni )
It’s going to be great bedside reading, if only to laugh at the sheer hypocrisy of men as they claim, boast, recoil from their sexual exploits. I won’t be doing that, because I can’t remember any of it.
Remember – stay sober and stay sexy.
btw, the shortness of this post is in no way a reflection of my dancing style.
